Piecing glass together
For those who want to enrich their home with beautiful glass designs
I create and preserve much-loved stained glass windows that will enhance homes for the future, from the heart of Southsea.
How to work together
Design
For new windows, I discuss colour, pattern or theme and will work from client ideas and suggest solutions that I feel will work well in the location.
I can also provide advice on re-designing or repairing existing glass, to give it a new lease of life.
Fitting
I work closely with an experienced local carpenter who carries out the removal, boarding up and refitting of windows. Wherever possible we use the original beading, supply new or use putty, whichever works best for the setting.
If the window I am working on is external, we will board this up on the day the glass is removed to provide you security and peace of mind during the project.
Sustainabilty
My ethos is to make as little impact on the environment as possible, so if something can be reused, recycled or repaired I will.
Whenever possible I will use glass that I have left from previous projects, or that I have reclaimed from salvaged windows.

“Louise created a bespoke piece of glass for my front door surround, using a mix of vintage and new pieces of glass. She was very helpful and kind, guiding my ideas to what was achievable to be made in glass.
Very happy with the result, and the windows get lots of compliments.”

Hi, I’m Louise
A stained glass artist and compulsive crafter.
I have spent my creative life gathering and cutting up discarded materials to make something new from something old, reusing, and remaking items so they can have a second life and a second chance.
More than 20 years ago, after always being fascinated by stained glass, and the fact that it’s made up of individual pieces which, when bound together make one beautiful new item, I added stained glass to the list of arts and crafts I create, and I have now made this into a small business.
I am equally passionate about designing and building bespoke new stained glass, as I am renovating windows we have inherited from previous generations, which need preserving for the future.
I work in my home studio in Southsea, surrounded by colourful craft and art materials for the projects and commissions I am working on, as well as my carefully curated reclaimed glass collections, waiting for a new home.
